i’m legal (sadface)
Okayyyyy, so I’ve been gone for like, a week which feels like it’s been exactly sixty eight days, three nights, twelve hours and four seconds (but of course.)
In case you didn’t hear about the dramas and chaos that went down (or you were living under a box for the past week!!), I basically fried my monitor. I have no idea how or why or what the hell really, really happened (logistically). It was working one minute and just completely shut down the next. It took me a while to get a new monitor because I didn’t know whether I should just trash my current computer and get a new one (I’ve had it for more than four years but it suprisingly runs very well) and all that, so I was very indecisive to say the least. I ended up going to Best Buy with my dad today and I got a new monitor but it’s like, nineteen inches which is a BIG step up from my old monitor which was a measly thirteen or fifteen inches, hah.
The resolution is sooooo eeeeee and my eyes are like *_* constantly, haha. I don’t know if i can get used to this but it’s going to affect alot of my layouts and work from now on. My wallpapers will definitely not be their current sizes anymore for starters since my resolution went from 1024 x 768 to 1336 x whatever it is, lol. BIGBIGBIG change for someone who’s had the same old thing for five years straight, right?
I also got a new laptop! since I’m a COLLEGE!!! student, my parents kind of wanted to get one for me just in case I ever need to do a heavy load of work away from home in the future. In actuality, i’m paying for this with my past few paychecks but it’s nice that they want to do this for me and I think I deserve a new toy computing device to tinker use professionally and accordingly with strictly academic purposes after having a rusty computer for the past five, six years, right!?
Anyway, I should warn you now that this blog is going to be ridiculously long so I don’t blame you if you don’t want to read it (but I hope that all my readers would want to read my blog or I’d be sad.)
You might notice that I’m typing ‘formally’ now. I decided now that I’m 18, I have to drop the hi omg i type like this okay act. Just kidding but I want to see how it goes since I do realize that my informal method of typing can be annoying to read and comprehend for some.
I turned 18 and legal last Wednesday. It was such a milestone! I can do so darn much now that I’m 18 like legally visit brothels, play scratch cards, smoke, hire a stripper and the list of FUN THINGS DON’T FAIL TO CONTINUE.
Honestly, I don’t even feel like I’m 18. I still feel young but maybe that’s just the honeymoon period of the entire process talking, haha.
I didn’t spend my birthday extravagantly – I’ve never been fond of birthdays ever since I was young. I don’t like fancy parties or having a bunch of people over; I like things simple and straight to the point. I’m boring, I think, but hey, I get the job done. I celebrated it with my parents and my grandparents and we just had a really nice dinner but no cake since I don’t like cake, haha. It seemed like a fitting setting for my ‘coming-of-age’ occasion. It’d be much more awkward if I required some extremely luxurious, fancy, over-the-top celebration, right?
Other than that, everything’s okay. Work is okay, school is okay, life is okay, everything’s peachyyy for once. I’m going t obe working on alot of site-related stuff since I basically ran away from this site for a few weeks and I suck enormously for that. I really do apologize for being missing in action but the time away gave me alot of space and breathing room to plan what I’ll do next and I think I have an idea.
So, I’m going to definitely be working on a new layout once time allows me to and I’m going to TRY and do something a bit different especially with the template and all that. I’m going to tryyy hardhardhard to add alot of content and whatever else you guys want as well as just fix up this broken-ish site.
